K.E.E.P. CampSEE WHAT'S HAPPENING AT K.E.E.P. CAMP!
The Kids Environmental Education Program (K.E.E.P.) Camp offers a five-day, overnight adventure to fifth and sixth grade students living in Franklin County, OH who are TANF (Temporary Assistance to Need Families) eligible. Our goal is to increase student interest and performance in science. KEEP camp guides participants through many hands-on learning activities, scientific investigation, group projects and nature games all with an emphasis on wildlife and habitat preservation. Campers will leave KEEP with an increased knowledge of the threats to animal and plant species and their habitats as well as proven methods for their successful protection and preservation. Camp is based at YMCA Camp Willson in Bellefontaine, Ohio. This beautiful setting provides the perfect backdrop for outdoor science education. Additionally, campers have access to a variety of exciting and well-supervised outdoor recreational activities. Supervised swimming, fishing, boating, horseback riding, climbing and the Giant Swing are among those activities offered at KEEP Camp. Campers bunk in large cabins, supervised by KEEP counselors. They eat in the camp dining hall and enjoy evening camp fires, group games and engaging group instruction. Please read further for some important information regarding the KEEP Camp registration process. CAMPER REGISTRATION INFORMATION
