Career Center for Youth
Established in 1999, the Career Center for Youth provides after school career exploration and self-sufficiency skills instruction for youth ten to thirteen years old. The goal of the Career Center for Youth is to motivate students to complete their education and enable them to realize the strong connection between education and career and life fulfillment.
The Career Center partners with local schools to recruit and host our programs. Students attend a two hour, after school session one day per week to participate in a variety of enriching activities designed to encourage self-sufficiency and increase future employability.
Hands-on training, team projects, guest speakers, computer research, printed materials, games and field trips are tools used to explore six essential stepping stones to self-sufficiency.
Career Center for Youth programs are offered at no cost to parents, students or school partners. Snacks and drinks are provided by the Career Center for Youth.
The Career Center for Youth, a program of EnterpriseWorks, is sponsored by the Franklin County Department of Job and Family Services. |
