Summer Experience Day Camp
Summer Experience is a week-long summer day camp offered to students completing fifth or sixth grade, living in Columbus, OH. Campers jump into career exploration, financial literacy instruction and health and fitness activities facilitated by our experienced instructors. Read below about the terrific time we have at camp.
What We Do at Summer Experience
- Join us for fun, informative career field trips throughout Columbus
- Visit with and interview professional guest speakers and learn about a career that interests you.
- Try your hand at engineering, fashion, nursing or legal 'work'.
- Have a crazy time with goofy group games and activities
- Go for a splash in the pool.
- Join us at the park for fresh air and outdoor fun
- Develop a weekly meal plan and fitness schedule.
- Compete in our annual egg drop contest.
- Learn the basics of financial literacy.
Important Camp Facts
- Camp is based in downtown Columbus
- Camp hours are 8am-4pm, Monday, June 9th thru Friday, June 13th and Monday June 16th thru Friday, June 20th.
- Campers may attend one camp session only.
- Camp is offered free of charge to eligible students.
- Lunch and afternoon snacks are provided by EnterpriseWorks for Youth.
- Parents are responsible for camper drop off and pick up at the Summer Experience camp site.
- Camp counselors are experienced, trained and screened. All counselors have passed a criminal records and fingerprint check.
Registration
- For registration forms and information, please call 614-228-4853.
- Registration forms are processed in the order they are received. If camp is full, a waiting list will be started.
- Campers and parents will be notified by mail when their registration forms have been received. Specific camp information will be sent by mail at that time. Only completed registration forms will be considered.
Summer Experience Day Camp is a program of EnterpriseWorks, a nonprofit organization, and is funded by the City of Columbus.
