REQUEST FOR BIDS
POSITION: Accountant-CPA
DATE: January 9, 2012
OVERVIEW
EnterpriseWorks is a private, not-for-profit corporation, organized in the State of Ohio in January 1998 for the purpose of providing a center for business planning for people with disabilities and an effective resource that directs low-income youth toward developing realistic career goals, self-sufficiency and socially responsible behavior.
EnterpriseWorks’ revenue is comprise of grants (United Way of Central Ohio), contracts, City of Columbus, Franklin County Department of Job & Family Services-sub-recipient of federal funds) and earned income (Ohio Rehabilitation Service fee for service vendor).
SCOPE OF WORK
Bids are being solicited for accounting services that provide financial functions that adhere to requirements set forth in A-122 cost principles on a contractual basis.
The scope of work to be agreed upon by the Contractor and EnterpriseWorks follows:
- A. Perform reconciliation of bank accounts (3) within 10 working days of receipt and provide printed copy of reconciliation.
- B. Reconcile General Ledger within 10 working days of the last day of the previous month and prepare printed report.
- C. Input account receivables on an ongoing basis/weekly.
- D. Input account payables on an ongoing basis/weekly.
- E. Prepare financial statement for the prior month and provide financial report by the 10th working day of the current month.
- F. Prepare and file all applicable payroll tax reports (i.e., Ohio withholding, City withholding, State unemployment, Worker’s Compensation) within 10 business days of the tax reporting end date and make copies of all payment/backup material.
- G. Prepare and file IRS 941’s by the 10th working day following the end of the quarter and make copies of all payment/backup material.
- H. Prepare and file W2’s and 1099’s and provide applicable tax forms to be mailed to employees/contractors by January 20th.
- I. Prepare and provide all documents required for completion of annual audit within 15 working days of the engagement letter being signed.
- J. Provide all information requested by auditor within 48 hours of request.
- K. Provide all material requested by funders within time frame provided by Executive Director.
- L. Present financial report at monthly meeting of the Board of Trustees (3rd Monday of each month).
- M. Report directly to Executive Director and EnterpriseWorks Board of Trustees.
- N. All work to be performed onsite at EnterpriseWorks’ administrative offices.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Certified Public Accountant
- Minimum of 3 years paid accountant work experience
- Proficient with use of QuickBooks accounting software
Bids for work should include the following:
- Projected number of hours per month to complete duties outlined under Scope of Work
- Resume’
- Copy of current CPA license
- List of references (last 24 months) that can verify the quality of work applicable to the duties to be performed herein
- Hourly compensation requested
